In the summer term, we completed the Lancashire Education Authority “Pupil Attitude Questionnaires” with all our Year 4, 5 and 6 children.
The Pupil Attitude is simply to find out subjects and aspects of school which the children like/ don’t like and to ascertain how we could further improve children’s experience of school. Example questions are: Do you feel that you are good at Reading/Writing/ Maths? Are you encouraged to think for yourself? Does school help you to understand and care about people? Do you like school?
There were many positive responses, some in the top 5% of Lancashire schoolchildren's responses. Where there were occasional less positive responses, we have reflected on these areas in our curriculum design and school improvement schedule in order to make our school the best we can.
