Safeguarding

At St Paul’s, all of our staff work hard to contribute to making the school a safe place to learn and for our pupils to be cared for. We aim to protect pupils from harm, and promote the well-being and welfare of all who attend our school.

We feel that the school is committed in promoting the emotional, physical, mental and educational needs of every pupil and recognise our roles and responsibilities in protecting and keeping our pupils safe.

Should you have concerns about the safety or wellbeing of someone at St Paul’s please talk to one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads.

ONLINE SAFEGUARDING SUPPORT FOR PARENTS

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are currently no procedures for reporting Domestic Abuse incidents to schools which means that our children are left without the support and nurture they need when they need it most. Operation Encompass has been created to address this so that by 9.10 am on the next school day the school’s Key Adults will be informed that the child or young person has been involved, heard or witnessed a domestic incident.  This knowledge, given to schools through Operation Encompass, allows the provision of immediate early intervention through silent or overt support dependent on the needs and wishes of the child.

At St Paul’s our Key Adults are;

Mrs Entwistle - Pupil & Family Support Manager – Designated Safeguarding Lead

Mrs Wood - Headteacher

Mrs Cregg - Deputy Headteacher
