School Closure - Thursday 18th January

Hello Busy Bees,

We hope you are all keeping safe and warm in this freezing weather! We can't believe how icy it is.

I am going to upload some learning on Seesaw for you to do today. If you are able, please have a go. We would love to hand out some Dojo points tomorrow, for great learning!

Today, would also be a fantastic opportunity to do some quality reading together. Whether that be reading your school reading book, or sharing your favourite story together (or even both!).

In Science yesterday, the children explored ice and melting. On Monday, they enjoyed setting up an investigation to find out whether our containers filled with water and objects, would freeze in these cold temperatures (I will share more photographs soon). I am sure they told you that the water did freeze! They were very excited. If it is safe to do so, you could head outside and see whether you could find any icicles or blocks of ice. The bird bath in my garden has completely frozen over!

This term, we are looking at different modes of transport. I would like your child to design their own 'dream transport.' They could draw it, paint it or build it out of Lego! Or maybe make it out of a cardboard box!

We appreciate that an 'Ice day' at home was unexpected, however we really look forward to seeing what the children get up to today. Mrs Watson and I, would really love to see some photographs of what the children get up to at home, so we really encourage sharing these on Seesaw.

Have a great day, and we will hopefully see you tomorrow!

Miss Mason :)
